How are we doing?
HOW ARE WE DOING?
As Governors we are passionate about what we do and welcome feedback and suggestions from parents, pupils, staff and the community to guide us. We shall maintain close links with the school community to help the school continue to be successful.
Parents are invited to access the school website via “Governors” to obtain further information about who we are and the meetings held recently.
If anybody is interested in becoming a Governor please contact the school office.
During the Spring/Summer half-terms, as planned, we have:
- Continued to maintain a close and continuous oversight of school improvements, curriculum development, implementation and impact, including a presentation on Modern Foreign Languages.
- We have also undertaken some focused reviews in school with regards to Safeguarding, SEN/D, Early Years, Year 6 Reading and SAT’s observations.
In addition, Governors have been closely involved in discussions and preparations for forming an Academy Trust.
For the rest of this term our Governors shall continue to focus on School Improvements, the Curriculum, Safeguarding, Pupil Behaviour Management, SEN/D, Pupil and Sports Premium. In addition, to increase Governor visibility, we shall be meeting with Year 6 pupils (and possibly parents) and attending various planned school events including; the presentation evening, “Party in the Playground” and school trips.
