Activities
May 2020
During their time at home in lockdown, our children were still working hard and managing to have fun.
February 2020
We made some bird feeders on World Book Day 2020, these are now hanging in the Quad to attract as many birds as possible. These were made with the help of a Visual Impairment teacher, Rachel Higham, Rachel was with us for her teaching placement and she normally works with the Rotherham Sensory Team.
December 2019
The children from Oak worked together to make a beautiful string of fairy lights for VICTA UK. Each child made a different design to sit over a light and each had decorated theirs beautifully. They designed Santas, reindeer, a tree and a star, all decorated with all sorts of wonderful colours and textures.
VIP Goalball
Every Thursday afternoon the Oak Staff, pupils and friends enjoy a "VIP" afternoon made up of daily living skills and a range of physical activities and challenges to develop our agility, balance and coordination.
For the first two weeks of the Spring Term 2018 we have been lucky enough to welcome an experience goalball coach from 'Goalball UK' to introduce us to this fantastic sport. We have loved playing goalball and hope to introduce it to more people around the school
